The Canterbury Cemetery Friends is an independent organisation entirely reliant on the work of volunteers. We are keen to recruit not only new members, but also people with the time and energy to help raise the profile of the cemetery by promoting awareness and appreciation of this important site.

Details: Heritage Open Day tours and activities (with the theme of “…everyday histories of working lives; exploring the daily routines of different jobs, the skills required, the people who did them, and the places that housed them all.”)

Location: The Community Chapel @ Canterbury City Cemetery
Details: Interfaith Walk during Inter Faith Week (with the theme of “Lighting the Way for a Shared Future – a celebration of hope. Inspired by the symbolism of light across faiths and traditions, including the spirit of Diwali, the theme reflects a shared belief that even in challenging times, communities can come together to build understanding, trust and friendships.”)
